Patna, July 12: A youth, claiming to be the son of a Bihar MLA, abused and assaulted two traffic policemen at the crossing of Boring Road and Bailey Road, under the Kotwali police station.
The two men in uniform have been identified as probationary sub-inspector Manindra Singh and constable Ajay Kumar.
Around noon today, they stopped a white SUV that wanted to go to Bailey Road, at the crossing, as the road had been blocked in the wake of Vice-President Hamid Ansari’s visit to Patna.
When the policemen advised the youth driving the car to take a detour, he blew his top.
