Patna, July 21: The high court today asked its registrar general (RG) to conduct an inquiry and submit a report within four weeks on the missing marksheets of examination held in 2003 to appoint additional district judges (ADJ) and sessions judges.

A division bench of Justice Shiva Kirti Singh and Justice Shivaji Pandey passed the direction while hearing a petition filed by Manoj Kumar, an advocate, seeking direction to the high court administration to provide him the marksheet. Manoj had taken the examination for the appointment of ADJ but he did not make it to the final merit list. Later, he asked the high court administration to furnish his marksheet and the newspaper in which the results were published. The high court administration refused to provide it to him, and claimed the marksheets were with the agency, which conducted the examination.

Manoj then moved the state information commission, which directed the high court administration to disclose the name of the agency that conducted the examination.
