Muzaffarpur (Bihar), June 4 (PTI): Two Maoists were arrested from Sri Krishna Medical College and Hospital in Muzaffarpur last night, police said.

Acting on a tip-off, police went to the hospital and arrested the Naxalites who were injured in a road accident, they said.

The arrested rebels were identified as Ravind Sahni and Raju Sahni, involved in several criminal offences, they said.

Red abduction

Meanwhile, armed Maoists abducted two persons in the Naxalite-infested Gaya district , police said today.

Over 50 Maoists raided Silwalia village and Bela village under Dumaria police station last night and kidnapped Shohail Ansari, Nehal Ansari and Nagvir Yadav for working as “police informers”, city superintendent of police Ratnamani Sanjeev said.

Ansari was, however, released later. The Maoists also beat up some villagers when they resisted, he said, adding that raids are being carried out in the area to ensure the safe release of villagers and nab the Naxalites.
