Muzaffarpur/Gaya, Feb. 18: Maoist Harendra Ram was arrested from Kasba village under Minapur police station last night. He had taken shelter in a house of a villager.

Acting on a tip-off, Bihar Special Task Force personnel conducted a surprise raid on the house of one Sanjay Thakur and arrested Ram.

Deputy superintendent of police (east) Shibli Nomani confirmed the arrest of Ram.

Equipment burnt

Over 30 Maoists raided the office of Gammon India Limited at Raghunathpur village in Gaya district last night and set ablaze a road construction machine and roller.
