Munger, Jan. 3: Chief minister Jitan Ram Manjhi today came down heavily on contractors for not completing government projects on time.

He said defaulting contractors would be sent to jail for not completing the schemes.

While reviewing schemes of six districts of Munger division at the Munger divisional headquarters this afternoon, Manjhi directed chief secretary Anjani Kumar Singh and director-general of police P.K. Thakur to send such contractors to jail.

'The contractors deprived the people of availing facilities by not completing the projects in time,' Manjhi said.

To keep a tab on officials, Manjhi said the government has decided to installCCTV cameras in all offices at block and district levels, including offices of block development officers, circle officers, police stations, primaryhealth centres and district hospitals.
