Gopalganj, April 15: A room full of people stood witness to a brazen act of robbery as two men fled with Rs 55,000, snatched from a person who had come to the State Bank of India’s agriculture develop-ment branch to deposit the money.

Dipu Srivastav of Narhawa village under Gopalpur police station was filling up the form when he was attacked by the two robbers.

Sanjay, a customer at the bank, said there is no security guard in the branch. A CCTV has been installed but that too does not work, added Sanjay.

Deputy superintendent of police Sanjay Kumar is investigating the matter.
