Patna, Aug. 3: The occasion was big. Big B was in town. Fan frenzy was obvious.

Cops had a tough day managing them, but the fans did not mind shoving to catch a glimpse of angry young man-turned-Paa. From the airport to P&M Mall, there was rush everywhere.

Mad rush. The Big B was in town.

Kumkum Saran, an ardent fan of Amitabh Bachchan, headed straight to the airport just to catch a glimpse of her all-time favourite star.

“Finally my wait is over. I once went to Mumbai to meet him in 2008 but was not able to see him because he was in London then. When I came to know that he is coming to my town, I decided to go the airport to see him. “

Long wait over. The Big B was in town.

Although quite a few people knew that Bachchan would be in town today, several others learnt about his arrival after they came to the airport either to drop or pick up their relatives.

When Tulika Srivastava, who came to drop her in-laws at the airport in the morning, came to know that the legendary actor would arrive at the city airport, she decided to wait till the star arrived.

Her patience paid. The Big B was in town, finally.

Tulika was speechless. She said: “I could not even move. The moment I saw him I pinched myself and asked if it was a reality?” she said.

Bilal (8) was at the airport with her uncle. When asked if he know who was coming, Bilal said: “I know him. He is Amitabh Bachchan. I have seen him in many movies, I just want to see how he looks.”

By the time Bachchan reached the P & M Mall for his news conference, the roads were jam-packed.

Mad rush. Bachchan was in town.

Pallavi Jha, who was fortunate enough to touch, Bachchan, said: “I can’t tell you the degree of my happiness, I can’t believe that Amitabh Bachchan, the god of Indian cinema, has touched me. I can’t ask for anything more in my life,” she said.

Everyone was not as lucky as Pallavi as the security was very tight. Only a few could catch a glimpse of him.

Akash Singh said: “I have been waiting here since morning to just see Amitabh. I could not take his autograph. But I was fortunate enough to take his pictures in my mobile. And trust me, now my mobile is as dear to me as my life.”

Security person Muhammad Zunaid said: “It is an achievement to be a part of the security of Amitabhji. I find myself very lucky because I managed security of my favourite star.”
