Patna, Aug. 23: Praying to Lord Hanuman at Mahavir Mandir will no longer involve long queues and a patient wait. For, the temple committee today started a facility for online darshan.
Deputy chief minister Sushil Kumar Modi inaugurated the facility today. He said: “Talks are on to include various pujas, including aarti and adorning the deities, and offering prasad in the temple under the online darshan so that it is convenient for the devotees and they are also satisfied with their puja.
“With this online darshan, devotees of Lord Hanuman in the country and abroad can worship by just logging on to the website. Devotees can seek blessings from anywhere they wish to.”
Kishor Kunal, the secretary of Mahavir Mandir and director of Bihar Religious Board, told The Telegraph: “People can avail of Lord Hanuman’s live darshan, aarti and prasad from 5am to 11pm on the temple’s website www.mahavirmandirpatna.org.
Later, devotees can also offer money or prasad to the temple through the website. As of now, devotees can directly donate to hospitals constructed by the trust for the poor, through the website.”
Modi also congratulated the temple trust for using funds from darshan at the temple on their various philanthropic projects.
He added: “Every religion talks about harmony and teaches us to be generous to our fellow human beings. Religions talk about being polite and tolerant towards every religion and serve society. Any religion that promotes rational thinking and logic is bound to be popular and accepted by the people.”
