Patna, July 4: Six Youth Congress presidents, along with office-bearers, of different political parties held a meeting at the residence of Bihar Youth Congress president Lalan Yadav to chalk out the parties of the state government.

However, most of these youths represented political parties that have almost no support base in the state.

The meeting also focussed to various rights of the students and their problems in the state.

Lalan said: “I cannot say whether these youth leaders will join the Congress but I am very sure that they are inspired by Rahul Gandhi and it is his image that has brought all these leaders on one platform to fight the Nitish Kumar government.”

He said: “The recent visit of Rahul to Forbesganj in Araria district has also given a good message to the youths that he is always there to listen to the grievances of those who do not get justice. If he (Rahul) can come all the way from Delhi to visit the area and meet the villagers, then why not the youth leaders from Bihar?”

Yadav pointed that the meeting was not a political one and no name has been given to it. “We just want to devote ourselves to the betterment of the education system in the state as per the guidance of Rahul Gandhi,” he said.

None of the youth leaders who attended today’s meet said they have any intention of joining the Congress.

Rohit Kumar Singh from the LJP’s youth wing said: “We gathered here to consolidate the youth power in Bihar to fight for the cause of students problems. There are issues like corruption, police brutality and students’ elections, which were discussed in detail.”
