April 19: The mortal remains of the three postgraduate students of Jawaharlal Nehru University, who were killed in a bike accident on the campus early on Friday, were today consigned to flames at their respective native places.

The trio’s bodies arrived in Patna by a service flight at 8.50am.

“Around 11.40am, Ravi Kumar Gupta’s body arrived in Gaya and was cremated at Vishnupad burning ghat around 2.30pm,” said Ravi’s maternal uncle, Nawal Kishore Prasad. The family was in deep shock and grief. Ravi’s parents were informed about the accident this morning,” added Nawal.

The body of Ravi Chaudhary, a resident of Khwaspur village under Doriganj police station of Saran district, was brought home around 2.30pm and cremated at Melaghat.

The mortal remains of Santosh Kumar was also cremated at Sikanderpur Ghat on the banks of Burhi Gandak river in Muzaffarpur.
