Patna: Shankar Charan Tripathi, the RJD national spokesperson and a confidant of party chief Lalu Prasad, does not seem to be much impressed with Lalu's sons.

He indirectly compared Lalu's younger son, Tejashwi, with the mythical demon, Ravan, claiming that the king of Lanka had to face the consequence because lack of politeness.

Tripathi claimed that both the brothers lack politeness, which is not good for any person and political party. "Lack of politeness is dangerous for any politician, political party and even common man. A fine example is that of Ravan, who died and face the consequence because he was not polite. Vibhishan had politeness, so he got the kingdom. If you become powerful, you are not allowed to destroy everyone," Tripathi told The Telegraph, when asked to comment on Tejashwi stressing that politeness in politics is a must.

Tripathi, who is an astrologer, basically hails from Uttar Pradesh and has given plenty of advice to Lalu and his family. Lalu, on the other hand, equally trusted him and even practically implemented his advice in the past two years.

It was Shankar Charan Tripathi who had advised Lalu ji to give up wearing white kurta and stick to the green one, as white was inauspicious for him. He has been following his advice before the 2015Assembly elections. Apart from astrology, Tripathi is also a palmist and a tantrik. It was Tripathi, who had predicted that Lalu ji will come to power and his both sons would become ministers.

Sources in the RJD said Tripathi is angry with both of Lalu's son because he was not allowed to speak on the 22nd foundation day of the party celebrated at the RJD office on July 5. All senior leaders of the party were given time to speak except Tripathi.

"Lalu ji was absent that day and in his absence, Tripathiji was neglected and not given chance to speak. If Lalu ji had been around, he would have surely allowed Tripathiji to speak. Lalu ji respects him a lot. Tripathiji's car is allowed to enter Lalu's 10 Circular Road residence, which the cars of other MLAs and even MPs are not allowed to," said a senior RJD leader on condition of anonymity.

He stressed that if something is wrong in the party, he will not sit quiet and will speak his mind without any fear.

Tripathi asserted that Tej Pratap Yadav crowning Tejashwi with a silver crown was inauspicious because it was done in the absence of their parents. "Crowning was against the Vedas. When the father dies, then the elder brother crowns the younger brother. Their parents were not present, not even the party national president. Crowning on the foundation was not appropriate. I am not afraid of anyone and will keep on speaking if something is wrong. I have not sought any post in the party. There has to piousness in politics," Tripathi said.
