Patna: NDA ally and national president of Rashtriya Lok Samata Party (RLSP) Upendra Kushwaha on Sunday rubbished rumours of his party switching over to the RJD camp like Jitan Ram Manjhi.

"The RLSP going to the RJD as claimed by RJD leader Raghuvansh Prasad Singh is nonsense. I have great respect for Raghuvansh babu but there is no base of his claim. It does not look good when leaders of Raghuvansh babu's stature indulges in loose talk," Kushwaha said when asked about the RJD's claim. Kushwaha added: "We have heard where there is smoke there is fire but here there is no fire so from where is the smoke coming out of we siding with the RJD? It is more than cent per cent lies."

On chances of siding with the RJD, Kushwaha downplayed the question saying: "It was something like you (the correspondent) becoming the Prime Minister in coming days".

Sources in the RLSP said he has put forward a condition before the RJD to project him as the chief ministerial face if he goes with the RJD.

The RJD, however, has already said in the next Assembly election, the chief ministerial candidate would be Tejashwi Prasad Yadav.

Reacting of Manjhi leaving the NDA, Kushwaha said he would surely miss him. Kushwaha also said he would "not go for election campaigning to Jehanabad where Nitish Kumar has fielded a JDU candidate". Kushwaha had demanded the Jehanabad seat.
