
Patna: Divisional commissioner Anand Kishor on Friday ordered road repairs and widening in the state capital within a fixed timeframe.
"Work on the road from Punai Chak to Samanpura via Rukanpura should be completed in two months. The boundary of Indira Bhavan should be shifted and the government wall near Lalit Bhavan must be demolished within two days," Kishor said.
A total of Rs 73 core would be spent on the project, for which around 100 electricity polls would be shifted, an equal number of trees would be cut, and encroachments cleared.
Kishor also ordered repair of the 1.85km stretch from Bailey Road to Patliputra Junction for Rs 13.1 crore, and widening of the 1km service between Rupaspur Flyover to the railway overbridge for Rs 218.12 lakh."Road construction will take place on 4.1km from Radiant School to Usri Chowk in Danapur-Khagaul section at a cost of Rs 2903.65 lakh.," Kishor said.
The 8.2km road from Bypass Police Station via Marcha-Marchi in Patna City will be repaired for Rs 33.2 crore.
Kishor also demanded the report on widening the road between Bandar Bagicha to Fraser Road as soon as possible. "Once all the work is completed, it would ease traffic in the city," he said.
