Patna, March 13: A fancy dress show was organised at I Play, I Learn, a pre-primary school, on its first annual day here today. Sporting colourful costumes, the children performed in front of their parents.
Vikrant Agarwal, the director of the school, said: “A child’s mind develops the most during the first six years. This is the most appropriate time for a child to be taught and trained.”
“If a child is educated properly, it reflects in his or her personality later on. It is very important to take proper care of children at this stage,” added Agarwal.
He also said: “I would like to thank all the parents who made this show beautiful. Their continuous support has helped us complete a year.”
Children dressed up as a police inspector, a farmer and even a snake.
Adya Arna, a student, dressed up as a bride, while Adya Agarwal, her classmate, as a leopard. Shiv, another student, became a doctor, while Deepika was looking delicious as a mango.
Sharangini and Aryan complemented each other by transforming themselves into Radha and Krishna.
Other events such as a musical chair and a painting competition were also organised.
Deepika claimed the prize by occupying the last seat in the musical chair competition. Shreya won the painting competition.
Principal Vijaya Singh said: “When we were children there was no concept of playschool. Children are lucky to have such facilities these days. It is good that they get to learn while playing. This is the right environment for education. They are not tensed or bored here.”
Simmi, Archana, Gayatri, Sakshi, all teachers of the school, organised the event.
Jay Kumar Gupta, a father of a student, said: “The programme was really nice. Such events should be organised quarterly.”
Sweta Singh, a mother, said: “The overall experience was very nice.”
