Patna: A 20-year-old girl suffered injuries when she was thrown off a running train, allegedly by her abductors, near Pachmahla on the borders of Patna and Lakhisarai districts early on Thursday morning.
The girl was admitted to Barahia referral hospital in Lakhisarai district where her condition is said to be critical.
The resident of Deoghar, Jharkhand, was found unconscious beside the railway track on Mokama-Lakhisarai route in the wee hours of Thursday. Three persons, Nunu Mandal, Manoj Mandal and Ranjeet Mandal, allegedly kidnapped her while she was going to take a bath in the river on Wednesday. The trio allegedly sprinkled some intoxicants on her that made her unconscious. Thereafter, they boarded the Punjab Mail off which she was thrown late in the night. Luckily, she survived and personnel posted at Pachmahla police station found her.
The station house officer of Pachmahla police outpost, Subash Kumar, said her family members were informed. "Her statement will be recorded after her health improves," he added.
The victim's medical examination would be conducted later.
