Running on paper for around two decades, Mahila Prathmik Shikshak Shiksha Mahavidyalaya would soon start imparting training to aspiring teachers.

However, the lone teachers’ training institute in the district would conduct classes from four rooms of two middle schools in the town as its own building on 11 acres stands in a dilapidated condition owing to government apathy.

It is now ready to take admissions afresh after getting accreditation from the National Centre for Vocational Training this year.

The school has started receiving applications after advertisements were published in newspapers for admission.

The institution has no office though employees were being paid salaries for the past 20 years.

Buxar district education officer Ashish Ranjan said: “Two rooms each at Mahavir Chabutara School and Abhyasarth Madhya Vidyalaya would be used to impart training.”
