Patna, July 21: Yoga and naturopathy, considered a forte of hermits and saints till recently, have become a household word. Taking this into count, Naturecure Yog Research College and Hospital at PC Colony in Kankerbagh today started a three-day free yoga and naturopathy health camp at its centre to teach people how to eliminate diseases practising them.
B.N. Singh, the principal of Naturecure Yog Research College and Hospital, said: “The main aim of the camp would be to make people aware of the benefits of yoga and naturopathy. We will apprise people of its benefits and how it helps in curing mental and physical aliments.”
People of any age group can take part in the camp. The people coming to the camp would also be briefed on the importance of balanced diet.
Singh said: “We will make people aware of good health, proper hygiene and environment. We will also tell the participants at the camp the benefits of plants like basil and marigold, and how the regular use of the products of these plants can help cure diseases. If someone eats tulsi everyday day, he or she will develop strong immunity against cough and cold.”
Renu Kumari, a diabetic, said: “I learnt some asanas like mandukasana at the camp. Mandukasana helps increase secretion of natural insu-lin from pancreas. The organisers of the camp also told me what to eat. They asked me to have more bitter gourd and blackberries. I hope these will help me.”
