Patna, Sept. 12: Learning science at Shri Krishna Science Centre is fun for youngsters. With mouth-watering snacks, the exercise would be more thrilling from October 1.
The cafeteria with a seating capacity of 25 would serve food during the working hours of the science centre — from 10.30am to 6.30pm. Both vegetarian and non-vegetarian food would be available.
The eatery would be open to the visitors to the centre as well as the outsiders.
“Considering the need of an eatery inside the science centre, we have developed this cafeteria. Yesterday, we performed the sthapana puja (foundation worship). We are likely to inaugurate the eatery on October 1. This cafeteria would serve snacks as well as lunch at subsidised rates,” said Rakesh Verma, the owner of the cafeteria, which is a unit of Sidharth Restaurant.
The snacks would include sandwiches, toast-omelettes, tea, coffee, cold drinks and baked items.
“The lunch menu would include vegetarian and non-vegetarian rice thalis, puri-sabji and chhole-bhature with desserts. Chinese and south Indian dishes, too, would be offered as the youngsters have a liking for these items,” said Verma.
Moreover, Verma said the cafeteria could also be booked for occasions such as birthday parties, school trips and others.
Visitors to Shri Krishna Science Centre are excited with the news of a cafeteria coming up. They had been waiting eagerly for an eatery on the science centre campus.
“I always used to miss an eating joint at this popular science centre, which is visited by hundreds of visitors. The visitors spend a lot of time here watching the scientific models. Naturally, they feel hungry,” said Sagar Sharma, a regular visitor to the science centre.
He added: “The cafeteria would dish out food fast. As a result, visitors like me will save the time we waste looking for food outside the centre.”
At present, a major attraction of Shri Krishna Science Centre is a fully air-conditioned 3D film theatre with a seating capacity of 60 persons.
The audience enjoys the 3D theatre experience with the help of circularly polarised films projected by two projectors and seen through 3D glasses.
