Patna: A roundtable discussion on "Gender disparities in infant mortality rate in Bihar" was held here on Friday.

The Centre for Health Policy organised the programme at Asian Development Research Institute (Adri). Dr Rakhi Dandona from the Public Health Foundation of India presented her analysis on triangulation of data sources, and emphasised that the decline in infant morality rate was smooth over the past five years. Health principal secretary Sanjay Kumar spoke on initiatives to reduce gender gaps.

Saswata Ghosh from Centre for Health Policy, Tanmay Mahapatra from CARE India, #Yamini Atmavilas from Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation and Adri member-secretary Shaibal Gupta were among the dignitaries present.
