Chhapra, Feb. 14: The 100-bed Jagdam College boys’ hostel at the Saran division headquarters, closed since 1990, is all set to get a fresh lease of life. A two-storeyed building would house it besides a museum, a library and an amphitheatre. The Rs 3-crore project is expected to be complete in three years.
College principal Pramendra Ranjan Singh today said: “The decision was taken for the students’ benefit in a recent meeting. The hostel, established in 1914, was closed in 1990 after a college employee was killed during the Assembly elections and bypoll of Chhapra and Maharajganj parliamentary constituencies.”
