Four persons died and six were injured on Friday morning when a truck collided with a tractor on a bridge across the Mahananda near Dengraha, around 385km northeast of Patna.
Two of the deceased, identified as Abdul Basir and Mohammad Barkatullah, were residents of Sripur village. The other two were Mohammad Adil and Tilak Chand, residents of Balrampur village in Katihar district.
More than 10 labourers were going from Baisi to Bengal in search of job in the tractor. Baisi sub-divisional officer Alok Kumar announced a compensation of Rs 20,000 each for the family of the deceased.
