| Chief minister Nitish Kumar at his janata darbar in Supaul on Thursday. Around 4000 applicants turned up at the darbar organised on the premises of BSS College. Nitish is on a visit to Supaul as a part of his Seva Yatra. Apart from the residents of Supaul, people from adjoining districts too turned up. Nitish was seen listening to the people’s grievances and he issued directives to ministers and officials of departments concerned to take corrective measures. Surendra Sahni, a farmer, complained about the local primary agriculture society not paying the farmers even after procuring paddy. Nitish directed the co-operative department secretary to look into the issue and take necessary steps. On the role of middlemen in the imple-mentation of Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act, Nitish asked rural development minister Nitish Mishra to take necessary action.
