This week was about nationalism and technical creativity. While some took part in a science exhibition, a few students paraded and put up cultural performances on Republic Day. Smita Kumar catches the action

Special attraction: Students took part in the exhibition with a lot of enthusiasm and excitement. The senior secondary section came up with many innovative ideas such as automatic streetlights and eco-friendly overbridge. The project coordinator of SK Science Centre, Vishwanath Gupta, encouraged the students to think differently and aspire to become scientists. School director S.B. Rai and principal Madhawi Kumari also encouraged the youths.

Event: Republic Day celebrations
Duration: Around three hours
Special attraction: A parade by the students left everyone spellbound. The assistant commissioner of Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan, Patna region, hoisted the Tricolour. Apart from the parade, the students also put up various cultural shows. They also presented a Hindi skit on the hazards to the environment and measures to combat the menace. The skit stressed on a pollution-free world.
