Apart from the currency note, two gold plates in the shape of a triangle and a square, bearing the emblem of the Statue of Liberty have also been recovered from their possession. "We have recovered a certificate of authenticity, which carries the emblem of the American Bank Note Company as well as a signature of one C.W. Aurand Jr., who, according to the certificate, is the president of the company. Also, the certificate has an emblem of the IAM and the signature of one Tari Steward, who, the certificate says, is IAM's international treasurer. We are interrogating the duo and according to the directions of the senior officers, Reserve Bank of India officials have been informed," the officer said. According to the IAM webpage ( www.i-a-m.ws), the $1million 'note' was designed in 1988 by Tari Steward, a popular designer and artist and is printed by the American Bank Note Company. The 'note' was printed for the IAM. The website adds that the 'note' is not a real US currency and cannot be encashed or converted. Text by Joy Sengupta, Telegraph picture-
