Motihari, March 18: A father and his two sons have been awarded life term and a fine of Rs 5,000 each in a judgement passed by a sessions court on Thursday.

The accused persons were found guilty on charges of murder, committed in 2007.

One Marachho Devi, wife of Hazari Das, the deceased, said: “Das was stabbed to death by Jagarnath Ram and his sons, Jiyalal and Jailal.”

She added: “Das was murdered when he asked the Rams to return the amount he had given for mediating a deal, which would provide the deceased a house under Indira Gandhi Awaas Yojana.”
