The city will turn into a fashionista's delight beginning Saturday when a two-day Fireflies Lifestyle Exhibition kicks off.

Those wanting to choose from designers' collection or meet established designers can attend the function being organised by Fireflies at hotel Panache. Among those who will attend are young designers who have participated in international fashion weeks, including Lakme Fashion Week. Among the designers who would participate in the exhibition are Mumbai-based Sougat Paul, Shruti Sancheti, Rema Nair, Paromita Banerjee, Jaya Mishra, Sejal Kanoi and Amit Nidhi.

"An interesting mix of designers from all over the country would be under one roof at the exhibition," said Priti Agarwal, one of the curators of the exhibition. "Apart from men and women's clothing collection, there would also be accessories and other collections. The idea is to change the common perception that fashion sense of people living in non-metro cities is lagging behind, which is not the case. Designers who are coming have carved a niche for themselves in their field. Usually, people need to take prior appointment to meet them but at this exhibition they will get a chance to meet them without taking any appointment. Upendra Maharathi Shilp Anusandhan Sansthan would also display work by its artists."

One of the highlights of the inaugural day would be a show in which the designers will showcase how a person is given a total makeover.

Sneha Tapadiya, another curator of the exhibition, said: "The best part is that the exhibition is open to all".

Earlier editions of the exhibition, including one organised in Calcutta, received great response, she said. "Many celebrities had come to attend the exhibition. We hope the Patna exhibition would also be a big hit."
