Bhojpuri actor and singer Manoj Tiwari greets Sachin Tendulkar during the launch of Celebrity Cricket League (CCL) 4 in Mumbai. The Master Blaster who recently retired from the 22 yards launched the fourth season of the cricket tournament last Saturday at a luxury five-star hotel. In a short interaction with Tendulkar, Tiwari told him about the cricket temple he is constructing at Atarwalia village in Kaimur district and the statue dedicated to the Master Blaster at the upcoming shrine. Tiwari, the captain of Bhojpuri Dabangg, one of eight teams in the league, told Sachin that his fans were visiting the statue everyday to pray to him. This was the first time Tiwari had the opportunity to meet the cricket icon. He told The Telegraph: “It was my privilege to meet the god of cricket, Sachin Tendulkar. There was a big smile on Sachin’s face when I shook hands with him. I am grateful to CCL for giving me this platform to meet the cricket icon.
