| Participants at the NTPC quiz pose with their mementos at Patna Museum on Friday. NTPC Limited, India’s largest power company, had organised a quiz for engineering and management students. The east zone quiz christened “Electron” was organised by the Maharatna company with an aim to provide knowledge about NTPC and various aspects related with the power sector. Nine teams comprising two students from each took part in the quiz. Students from Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Ranchi, Birla Institute of Technology (BIT), Mesra and LN Mishra Institute of Economic Development and Social Change participated in the event. B.K. Sharma, the assistant general manager (human resource), NTPC, said: “Apart from questions related to the power sector, students were also asked questions on history, geography, current affairs and sports.” Debajit Roy and Pranshuman of BIT Mesra bagged the first prize. The first prize carried a cash award of Rs 30,000, while the runner-up won Rs 20,000. The winners of the east zone will go on to the national-level contest organised at New Delhi in December.
