Patna, Aug. 31: CBSE has asked private examinees to fill up forms directly at the regional office from September 1. This has been done keeping in mind the unnecessary expenses born by private examinees in filling forms.
The forms would be available at the CBSE regional office.
Examinees, who wish to take Class X or Class XII examination in 2012, will, however, have to get the forms attested by their school.
Private examinees are also required to produce the original marksheet of the previous year. Students usually take board exams in private if they have either failed or did not score a good grade in the examination the prev- ious year.
CBSE regional officer S.U. Sorte said: “We often hear about schools charging extra amount from the students for filling up forms. We request private examinees to come directly to the regional office instead of going to schools or coaching institutes to fill up the forms. This would check the unnecessary amount being charged by these institutions.
“One thing, which the candidates have to ensure, is that their forms get attested by a school. Not only this, they also would have to produce the original marksheet of the previous year. Candidates should also provide their address so that the admit card reaches their home directly.”
Private candidates seemed relieved on hearing this.
One such candidate, Sawan Kumar wants to take the in Class XII examination in 2012. Kumar had scored unexpectedly low marks in physics and mathematics.
Kumar said: “I was planning to go to Samastipur to fill up the form but it’s good that it can be done in Patna itself. I will now visit the CBSE regional office now for that.”
Kumar expects that he will get satisfactory marks if he takes the board exam again.
