Members of Mahatma Gandhi Kendriya Vishwavidyalaya Sangharsh Morcha take out a mock funeral procession of Union human resource development minister Kapil Sibal, Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi in Motihari on Wednesday. Starting from Gyanbabu Chowk, the rally culminated at Gandhi Smarak and Sangrahalaya. The agitation was in protest against Sibal’s announcement of shifting the proposed venue of Central University of Bihar (CUB) from Motihari to Gaya. Four proposals, including a Gaya bandh call on March 28, were passed at the protest. Another proposal involved asking all district boards, municipal corporations and nagar panchayats in 18 districts of south-central Bihar, including five districts of Magadh division, to pass a proposal for setting up CUB in Gaya.
