A 45-year-old man died under mysterious circumstances at Magistrate Colony in Patna on Thursday.

Police said the victim, Ajay Kumar Singh, died after he jumped from his house at Magistrate Colony when they had gone to arrest him in a forgery case lodged with the Khagaul police station. However, the deceased's son Sahil alleged that his father Ajay was pushed from the top floor of the building, leading to his spot death. Rajeev Nagar police station house officer Devendra Kumar said a warrant of arrest was issued against Ajay from the court in connection with a forgery case.

One Anil Singh, a building developer had lodged the case against Ajay, he added. "Allegations against the cops will be verified," a senior police officer said.
