Patna, March 24: The Indian Air Force team, Akashganga, today performed at Moin-ul-Haq Stadium on the last day of Bihar Divas celebrations. Chief minister Nitish Kumar enjoyed the antics of the airmen along with thousands of people who had gathered to watch the show.
Eight sky divers of the Akashganga team jumped off an AN-32 aircraft from a height of 7,000ft bearing the Tricolour and the para jumping team performed daredevil stunts in the air, much to the delight of thousands of spectators. The aircraft had taken off from Patna airport.
Just when most people were wondering as to how the airmen would jump from such a height, the skydivers started jumping off the aircraft. People held their breath till the y saw the divers opening their parachutes. Even the CM, HRD minister P.K. Shahi, rural development minister Nitish Mishra and water resources department minister Vijay Choudhary were seen searching for the divers in the sky.
When they started landing in the stadium one by one, everyone cheered them with loud applause. The CM, who was watching it from the first floor of the stadium, came down and shook hands with each and every skydiver.
Appreciating their performances, Nitish said: “You people have shown extraordinary skydiving skills and I am very grateful to the Indian Air Force who accepted our request. You people are the real heroes of our nation and Bihar is looking forward to see more of such performances in coming days.”
