Patna: The JDU continued its counter attack on Leader of Opposition Tejashwi Prasad Yadav's Samvidhan Bachao Nyay Yatra, alleging that the yatra was launched with the motive of taking over the legacy of Lalu Prasad's corruption.
JDU MLC Neeraj Kumar alleged that through the yatra, Tejashwi is learning the art of corruption and misdeeds, which his father acquired in the 15 years of regime. Neeraj who is also the spokesperson of the party, attacked Tejashwi for launching the fake Nyay Yatra.
"Tejashwi must understand that by following Lalu's footsteps, the only place he will reach is jail," Neeraj said.
Taking a dig at his Madhubani public meeting, Neeraj said the people of the Mithlanchal region are yet to come out of the trauma of the 15-year regime of Lalu-Rabri.
He iterated that during Lalu's rule, the people used to give "goonda service tax" (GST) to RJD leaders owing to which many businessmen and rich people had to flee Bihar to continue their businesses in other states.
"There was time when people were afraid of going out of their houses after sunset. Our leader, Nitish ji, brought development in the state and made a drastic change in law and order. Criminals were sent behind bars and speedy trials held. A sense of good governance and development with justice was established in the past 12 years of Nitishji's regime," Neeraj claimed.
The senior JDU leader also claimed that Nitish had developed Madhubani in every sector, be it constructing boundary wall for graveyards, extensive work on constructing rural roads and opening new education institutes in the district.
