A high court bench of Justice V.N. Sinha on Thursday asked the Siwan district magistrate (DM) and the deputy development commissioner to appear before it on November 30 and explain why they didn’t comply with an order to recommend one Krishna Manjhi’s name for a driver’s job in the district rural development agency.
The state had in 2007 asked all DMs to consider appointment of persons serving as daily wagers for years as one-time settlement.
