A team of policemen with the economic offences unit of the Bihar police on Sunday interrogated four members of an inter-state gang involved in printing and circulation of fake stamp papers and currencies.

Patna senior superintendent of police Manu Maharaj said EOU officers were assisting the joint team of the Patrakarnagar and Ramkrishna Nagar police in the probe. “Since the gang had its links with those operating in Uttar Pradesh, Jharkhand, Bengal and Odisha, we thought it better to seek the help of the EOU, which has the expertise in dealing with such cases,” he added.
