Darbhanga, Aug. 26: The owner of a jewellery shop at Biroul Bazaar under Biroul police station was arrested for allegedly supplying arms.

Acting on a tip-off, the police raided the shop this morning when Subhash Sah, the owner, opened it. The police have also recovered an automatic 7.65mm pistol from a locker in the shop today.

Senior superintendent of police Vikas Vaibhav said: “Areas under Biroul police station have been very peaceful. It is surprising that a jeweller has been found involved in arms trade in this area.”
