Gaya, Oct. 28: The prime accused in last year’s Japanese tourist gangrape case was arrested from Pranpur village under Paraia block of the district this morning. Another accused, Pintu alias Lotan, is still absconding. Earlier, three other accused were awarded life imprisonment.

Gaya senior superintendent of police Vinay Kumar said Rajan was working as a mason in Tamil Nadu’s Coimbatore district.

Rajan will be produced in the chief judicial magistrate’s court tomorrow. Police have information that, Pintu alias Lotan, the fifth accused, is staying at Ludhiana in Punjab.
