Special attraction: The tiny tots came dressed as Radha and Krishna. From flute to morpankh, boys dressed as the God took care of all the details. Girls who played Radha’s role looked beautiful in their chaniya choli. Children played with organic colours. A matka-phod event was one of the highlights of the programme in which the students tried to break a pot filled with butter with the help of their teachers. Ravi Bhargava, director, Tender Hearts International School, said his institute organises Holi in a traditional manner every year.

Special attraction: The teachers told the kids how to prepare organic colours at home. The principal of the school, Hema, stressed on organic colours, the lack of chemical in these and how it helps to save the environment. The tutors also explained to the children the origin of the festival and how it is celebrated in different parts of the country. The principal also put stress on enjoying the festival with organic or herbal colours. Turmeric, orange peel, marigold and others material were used to send across the message of a safe and colourful Holi.
