A team of St Michael's High School on Monday received a walkover on the third day of Father Pedro Arrupe Memorial Inter-School Cricket Tournament.

The day's first match was scheduled between St Michael's High School (Team B) and Litera Valley School. In the second match, St Dominic Savio's High School set a target of 52 runs for St Karen's High School, which went on to win the match by nine wickets.

Bank seminar

Private Schools and Children Welfare Association organised a seminar on financial literacy for women on the Jamil compound in Raja Bazar on Monday. Addressing the seminar, general manager of Reserve Bank of India (Patna), Swaroop Singh said: "Under the rules and regulations of the Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana, women aged over 18 years can open their account in any commercialised bank at the interest of 9.8 per cent."

Course for docs

A two-day certification course on ECG and echocardiogram opened at Paras HMRI Hospital on Monday. #Organised for doctors, specialist nurses, paramedics and physiologists, the University of Leeds and Liverpool John Moores University would provide the certificates.

"The conference was organised to improve the skills of healthcare professionals. Faculty from the University of Leeds and Liverpool John Moores University have come for the conference," said course director Rajay Narain, research cardiologist, St George's University of London.
