| Youth, art and culture minister Vinay Bihari inaugurates the workshop on child rights through cinema in Patna on Monday. Titled “Rights, Camera, Action for Children”, the programme was organised by Unicef in association with Children’s Film Society, India, and Convention on the Rights of the Child. Bihari said: “Unlike earlier times, there are no half tickets for children in cinema halls today. There should be more movies for children. Earlier, small documentaries were shown in the villages. But nowadays, the focus of cinema is more on commercial success.” Text by Smita Kumar, picture by Ashok Sinha |
