| Four automated teller machines (ATMs) of State Bank of India Doctor’s Colony branch burnt down to a cinder early on Wednesday morning. Police suspect a short-circuit triggered the fire at the ATM kiosk under the jurisdiction of Kankerbagh police station. The police said the fire started around 5.30am and spread very fast, completely burning down the kiosk and the four ATMs. Bank officials could not ascertain how much cash was available in the ATMs at the time of the fire, as transactions are conducted round the day at the kiosk, but said the loss could be in lakhs.
