Vigilance week for govt
• PATNA : Chief secretary Anjani Kumar Singh has written to all department heads to run a vigilance awareness week in their respective departments for a week in which employees would be told about government's zero-tolerance policy against corruption and administered oaths.
Sushil-Lalu
• PATNA : Deputy chief minister Sushil Kumar Modi has taken potshots at RJD chief Lalu Prasad for stating that he would campaign in Gujarat for the Congress. He recalled that Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi had refused to share stage with Lalu while campaigning for the Assembly polls. He said the common factor with Lalu, Rahul, Mamata and Mayawati were they not only promoted corruption but also demolished democracy within their parties.
GST relief
• PATNA : Deputy chief minister Sushil Kumar Modi said the Centre had given over Rs 8,698 crores to states on account of losses they had incurred after implementation of GST. He said all states got relief from the amount.
Tejas jibe
• PATNA : JDU spokesperson Sanjay Singh took a jibe at former deputy chief minister Tejashwi Yadav by saying he should worry about himself and not the JDU. He was reacting to a statement made by Tejashwi stating that the JDU would get less number of seats from the BJP in the next elections and the government would fall in six months. He said the future of Tejashwi is bleak as he faces cases from numerous central agencies.

• PATNA: Orthopaedic surgeon from Paras HMRI Hospital, Dr Nishikant Kumar has been chosen among 50 national stalwarts at the Annual Conference of Indian Arthroplasty in Delhi on Sunday. Dr Nishikant has achieved this feat for his successful knee replacement surgeries using robotic and computer navigation techniques. Before joining Paras HMRI, Dr Nishikant has assisted in around 100 knee replacement surgeries at All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Delhi.

• PATNA: The Heritage Society organised a talk show at the DAV Public School, BSEB, on Monday. Senior IPS officer Amitabh Kumar Das delivered the keynote address during the programme.
