Medicos clash at hospital
Gaya, Sept. 19: Anugrah Narayan Medical College and Hospital doctors clashed with some shopkeepers today over an ongoing dispute, set a car on fire and damaged other vehicles passing through the road.
Six of them also sustained minor injuries, while six doctors have been arrested. RAF and CRPF jawans have been deployed on the campus.
Cash transfer
Patna: Four out of 14 Assembly constituencies in Patna district have been declared sensitive for illegal cash transfer ahead of the upcoming elections, during a review meeting held by Patna divisional commissioner Anand Kishor on Saturday.
Floorball team
Patna: An eight-member team was selected in Patna on Saturday for participating in the Special Olympics National Floorball Championship, scheduled in Vanasthali, Rajasthan, from September 22-27.
Strike
Patna: Around 500 junior doctors of Patna Medical College and Hospital went on strike on Saturday evening after a senior resident of the hospital was allegedly beaten up by a relative of a patient.
Death
Gopalganj: The body of a Kushinagar (Uttar Pradesh) resident, Upendra Kumar Chauhan, was found hanging from a tree at Deurva village on Saturday morning. In another incident, one Rambha Devi was allegedly burnt to death by her in-laws for dowry.
Acquittal
Gopalganj: Additional district judge IV Amar Jyoti Srivastava on Saturday acquitted one Satish Pandey in connection with the Purkhas massacre in want of any evidence. In 2005, four persons were killed at Purkhas village under Gopalpur police station in the district.
BJP second list
Patna (PTI): The BJP, late on Saturday night, announced its second list of 99 candidates for the Bihar Assembly polls late on Saturday evening.
