Teens drown
Patna: Two teenagers drowned in the Ganga on Wednesday while bathing in the river near the Digha police station area. The victims have been identified as Vikas Nagar residents Sonu Kumar (17) and Sameer (17). The bodies were sent for post-mortem after divers fished them out.

Patna: Tarumitra Ashram on Wednesday launched an all-India campaign involving students of various schools and colleges to spread the word on the necessity of organic farming.

Bettiah: Government Medical College, Bettiah, has formed an anti-ragging team to fight the practice in the institution. Principal Rajeev Ranjan Prasad on Wednesday said students found guilty of the cognisable offence would be expelled.

Chhapra: Two persons died at Sikta village on Tuesday evening, while five others took ill after consuming adulterated toddy. Police said the toddy shop owner, Jogendra Chaudhry, has been caught.

Loot arrest
Hajipur: Gangster Chunnu Thakur was arrested late on Tuesday night with four of his associates from Subhai Jamalpur village in Vaishali district. He is a suspect in the case of Rs 4.8 lakh loot from the petrol pump owned by former minister Veena Shahi.
