Clash injuries

Patna: At least 12 people were injured in a violent group clash at Katesar village in Patna rural on Sunday. People, from both factions, were hurt in stone-pelting and arson. Additional police forces have been deployed too.

Train protest

Patna: Passengers on the Bikaner-Guwahati Express disrupted movement of trains at the Mokama railway station on Sunday in protest against repeated thefts in air conditioned compartments of the train.

CID probe

Motihari: The criminal investigation department would probe the murder case of Ajay Yadav, the proprietor of Sri Krishna Gas Agency, shot dead by contract killers in an alleged partnership dispute on April 8 this year.

Sushil jab

Patna: BJP leader Sushil Kumar Modi took a dig at the Nitish Kumar government for its failure to set up any new power generating unit.

Land strife

Patna: A joint front of the Left parties, peasants and farm labourers took out a protest march on Sunday to protest against the Centre's land acquisition bill. They also brunt the effigy of Prime Minister Narendra Modi near Dakbungalow roundabout.

Central visit

Patna: Union ministers Dharmendra Pradhan and Rajiv Pratap Rudy will visit Bihar on Monday. Pradhan will stay in Patna, while Rudy would proceed to Saran.

BJP induction

Motihari: Independent MLA from Dhaka Pawan Jaiswal has resolved to join the BJP next Friday, sources said on Sunday.

Sadhu party

Gopalganj: Lalu Prasad's brother-in-law Sadhu Yadav on Saturday said he would float his party, Garib Janata Dal Secular, and fight the elections.
