Woman catches ‘rapist’
Patna: A woman on Wednesday nabbed a man she alleged had raped her. The incident occurred at Kargil Chowk, where she spotted him drinking tea.
The police said the middle-aged woman, a resident of Athmalgola, had lodged an FIR against one Vipin in 2011, alleging him of raping her.

Body found
Motihari: Police on Wednesday recovered the body of one Brajkishore Dubey from Raghunathpur locality. A resident of Dudhiahi in East Champaran, Dubey was a typist.

Patna: NGO ActionAid organised a cycle rally on the theme “Beti zindabad” to raise the issue of violence against women at Shahid Smarak on Wednesday. Around 1,000 people took part in the cycle race, including 55 differently abled.
Deputy mayor
Patna: Rup Narayan Mehta on Wednesday took over as deputy mayor of the Patna Municipal Corporation (PMC). On Monday, a Patna High Court order had set aside the urban development department's order removing Mehta from the post on October 30.
Tourism body strike
Patna: Bihar State Tourism Development Corporation (BSTDC) Employees Association went on an indefinite strike on Wednesday against alleged privatisation of a number of services of the tourism corporation including its hotels and ropeway. Most such services remained suspended because of the strike strike.
