The body of a man missing since March 30 was found in a bag at Sivalaya under Bihta police station on Saturday night.
The deceased has been identified as Dipu Sharma, 30. A senior officer of Danapur police station said: “Prima facie, it appears to be a case of murder because of rivalry between two groups, as Dipu was involved in land brokerage business.”
Around two months ago, Dipu was arrested for the alleged murder of a businessman in Bahadurpur. He was sent to jail in that connection.
According to sources, Dipu’s body, recovered from a bag, bears injury marks on stomach, chest and neck. The Danapur police have interrogated many people in this connection.
The sources said Dipu, a resident of Gavtal in Danapur, left his house on March 30 with his friends.
When he did not return home, his family lodged a complaint.
Dipu’s body has been handed over to the Dana- pur police.
