Book Fair

Patna: Centre for Readership Development on Monday rescheduled its date and venue for the Patna Book Fair. CRD secretary Amrendra Kumar Jha said it will now be held at the new Gyan Bhavan International Conven-tion Centre in the north-west corner of Gandhi Maidan on December 2-11.

Rapist hunt

Patna: Director-general of police P.K. Thakur said on Monday raids were on to nab four men who had gang-raped a 14-year-old girl in Muzaffarpur on Saturday.

The four youths had made a video of the rape and uploaded it on social networking sites to shame her into silence. Muzaffarpur deputy superintendent of police Gaurav Kumar visited Katra in Muzaffarpur district and met family members of the girl. He assured to provide them justice.

Bapu birthday

Patna: The JDU on Monday marked Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi's birth anniversary by garlanding his photograph at the party office. JDU state unit president Basishtha Narayan Singh and Bihar legislative Assembly Speaker Vijay Kumar Choudhary were present with senior leaders of the party.
