Order on MLAs reserved

Patna: A division bench of the high court on Friday reserved its order in the case ofrestoration of Assembly membership of four erstwhile JDU MLAs, which was challenged by the state government.

The membership of GyanendraSinghGyanu(Barh), Neeraj Kumar Bablu (Chhatapur), Rahul Sharma (Ghoshi) and Ravindra Rai (Mahua) was terminated on November 1, 2014.

Arrest

Munger: One Bablu Mandal, accused of killing a policeman on a running train on January 2, was arrested on Friday.

Cowsheds

Patna: A division bench on Friday directed the government to file details of land encroachment of all the 86 goshalas (cowsheds) in the state.

Training camp

Patna: A camp for selected players of the women's basketball team would be held from February 2-16 at Patliputra Sports Complex. The team would take part in the National Women Games in Ranchi from February 19-22.

Sports reward

Patna: The government on Friday announced Rs 5 lakh as reward for gold medallists at the 35th National Games, starting in Kerala from January 31. Silver and bronze medallists would be given Rs 2 lakh and Rs 1 lakh, respectively, said youth affairs minister Vinay Bihari.
