Murder for land dispute
Katihar: A 42-year-old man, identified as Mohammad Sheikh Khalif, allegedly killed his 20-year-old nephew on Tuesday with a sharp-edged weapon over a land dispute.
The deceased has been identified as Mohammad Sheikh Sadam, a resident of Baria village under Amdabad police station of Katihar district, around 295km northeast of Patna. The body has been sent to Katihar sadar hospital for post-mortem.

PM complaint
Siwan (PTI): JDU MLA Shyam Bahadul Singh on Tuesday filed a complaint in a Siwan court, charging Prime Minister Narendra Modi with hurting sentiments of the people by questioning the DNA of chief minister Nitish Kumar during his visit to the state on Saturday. The legislator from Barharia filed the complaint under sections 500 and 427 of the Indian Penal Code in the court of chief judicial magistrate in-charge Alok Ranjan Singh. The judge has posted the matter for hearing on July 31 and directed the petitioner to substantiate his charge.
Heroin seizure
Sasaram: Police on Tuesday arrested three persons, including a woman, in connection with illegal drug trafficking. The police also seized 50g heroin worth Rs 10 lakh in the international market. Police said the arrested persons had brought drugs from Madhya Pradesh and were planning to sell in Bihar.
